Water needling

Our HYDROWATT high-pressure pumps are used for water needling (spunlace process). In this process, nonwovens or tissues are produced, some of which are also provided with a pattern/embossing on the surface. This requires complex production lines with long conveyor belts and multiple units of drums and aquajets (water jet nozzle rakes), which interlace and consolidate the fibers, as well as a powerful dryer unit at the end. Raw materials processed include natural fibers, such as cellulose and cotton, and man-made fibers (polyester, etc.).

Typical end products of hydroentangled nonwovens are paper towels for personal care and household, hygienic wet wipes, disposable surgical gowns, medical textiles for wound care or textiles in the automotive industry.
